Back in the early 1800’s, two Bolton boys came together to build a flour mill. It was quite the feat, as they ended up constructing the first-ever water powered grist mill! Fast forward almost two centuries, and you have what has steadily developed since that first industrial endeavour – the town of Bolton! Nestled in the hills at the east end of Caledon, this community is the largest in the area. While constant growth has pushed it’s population close to the 30,000 mark, locals seek to curb these numbers to be able to protect the integrity of their historic roots and small-town feel.
With new subdivisions hard to come by, many of the residents in Bolton are looking to upgrade their older homes, or to give already-beautiful abodes a polish. Why not hop on the bandwagon and join in the new trend of stunning quartz or wood countertops as well as tiles, with current colours and shapes that are sure to look amazing for decades to come. Stick with that classic farmhouse feel, or branch into modern decor with our innovative design options. Make your kitchen, bathroom or laundry room match your interior vision while also increasing in functionality. It’s the ideal pairing of beauty and brains!
Slowing the growth of the community makes it a wonderful spot to raise a family, and with 8 different elementary schools, 2 high schools and 2 private schools in town, many families are doing just that! Like many other areas in the Region of Peel, Bolton has its very own Fall Fair, offering tonnes of fun for both young and old. The town also hosts a weekly Farmers’ Market for all those looking to get their regular dose of local produce! The fun gets taken up a notch on the last Saturday of each month during the warmer season, with festivities including live music.
Bolton is just a hop, skip and a jump from the endless amenities of both Vaughan and Brampton, but it also has its own shops worth popping in to. The town has been putting a lot of focus into improving their downtown core and is proud to offer an array of specialty shops, eateries, spas and services. It has also undergone a beatification process, making a stroll down the streets a feast for the eyes. You can also hop on many of the walking trails to get your dose of nature just outside the town’s borders.
Bolton is lovely, there’s no doubt about it. If you have the privilege of living in this community, why not add to its beauty by giving your own home some love! We assure you, you won’t regret it!
